DELAWARE (1/19/2016) There’s a slight chance of snow accumulation Wednesday night, but a much bigger storm is developing for the end of the week, the National Weather Service says.

The storm expected late Friday through Saturday night has the “potential for substantial precipitation,” the service said, with both snow and rain.

Gusty northeast winds could cause blowing and drifting of any snow, with gusts up to 50 mph possible along the coast late Friday night or Saturday morning.

The storm could also cause widespread coastal flooding at high tide Saturday morning, the service said.

High temperatures in the mid-30s will continue the next few days with overnight lows around 20 degrees.
