Gunmen rob Waffle House restaurant on U.S. 13

CAMDEN, DELAWARE (1/1/2016) The Waffle House restaurant on U.S. 13 was robbed at gunpoint New Year’s Eve, the Delaware State Police said this morning.

The robbery at 4003 S. DuPont Highway east of Camden happened about 11 p.m.

Four males, with at least two of them armed with handguns, confronted a 20-year-old woman working at the counter and demanded cash from the register.

Their guns were pointed at the woman but police said she was not injured. She turned over money from the register and the robbers fled.

They were described as black, 5-feet-9 to 6-feet-2 and 160-180 pounds. They were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, dark pants and black gloves. Their hoods were pulled up to cover their faces.
