ELSMERE, DELAWARE (12/14/2015) An outage darkened numerous traffic lights and left about 8,000 Delmarva Power customers in the Elsmere-Newport-New Castle area without electricity for more than an hour this morning.
Several businesses also were affected and police directed traffic at intersections with darkened signals.
Reason for the outage was under evaluation, according to Delmarva’s website.
A few dozen customers remained without service by 10:45 a.m.
