Motorcyclist injured in U.S. 40 crash in Bear

BEAR, DELAWARE (12/14/2015) A 48-year-old man was injured Sunday in a motorcycle crash on U.S. 40 (Pulaski Highway) at Route 1, authorities said.

The accident was reported at 2:42 p.m.

Emergency medical technicians from Christiana Fire Company immobilized the injured 48-year-old man, who was treated at the scene for multiple scrapes and a possible hip injury, said Sgt. Michael A. McColley of New Castle County paramedics.

The man was taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.

Delaware State Police were on the scene investigating the crash.
