Wawa robbed at knifepoint in Ogletown

OGLETOWN, DELAWARE (12/6/2015) A Wawa convenience store was robbed at knifepoint early today, Delaware State Police said.

It happened just after 2 a.m. at 1 Salem Village Square, at the intersection of Salem Church and Chapman roads.

The robber confronted a female clerk at the rear of the store and demanded money from the register. She turned over cash and cigarettes and he fled.

No injuries were reported.

The robber was described as white, 40-50 years old and about 6 feet tall, He had blue eyes and was wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and tan boots.

It was one of several robberies in New Castle County over the weekend, but police said they don’t know if any of them are related.
