Greenwood couple arrested on drug charges

GREENWOOD, DELAWARE (11/13/2015) A Greenwood couple was arrested after an investigation into drug sales, Delaware State Police said Thursday.

Donald Carey, 26, and Carla M. Dyer, 31, were taken into custody about 6 a.m. at their home in the 400 block of Mill St.

Police said they found 80.74 grams of cocaine, 0.7 grams of marijuana and more than $2,900 in suspected drug proceeds in the home.

Three children of Dyer, ages 11, 10 and 7, were in the house and turned over to custody of a relative.

Carey was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), tampering with evidence, second-degree conspiracy, possession of marijuana, endangering the welfare of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was being held on $42,000 secured bond.

Dyer was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), tampering with evidence, second-degree conspiracy, possession of marijuana, endangering the welfare of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was being held on $9,250 secured bond.

 

Police said the arrests by the Sussex County Drug Task Force were made with assistance of Greenwood police and the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force.
