Man charged in shooting of 17-year-old in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (11/10/2015) A suspect has been arrested in the shooting a week ago of a 17-year-old boy, Wilmington police said this morning.

Tymir Mason, 23, of Wilmington, was arrested Monday when he showed up for a probation and parole appointment.

He is charged with attempted murder in the Nov. 3 wounding of the teenager, who was shot in the back in the 900 block of Maryland Ave. The teen was last reported in critical but stable condition, but police gave no condition update today.

Mason also was charged with possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and by a person prohibited due to previous violent felony conviction, and probation violation.
