PIKE CREEK, DELAWARE (10/27/2015) A teacher in the Delaware Autism Program has been charged with assaulting a 6-year-old student, state police said today.
Anne Gullo, 52, of Newark, was charged with second-degree child abuse in the incident Oct. 16 at Wilson Elementary School, 14 Forge Road.
Police said Gullo pushed the boy, who then fell into a bookshelf and suffered a minor injury to his back.
Gullo turned herself in to state police in Glasgow on Monday. She was released on $500 unsecured bail.
