NEWARK, DELAWARE (10/26/2015) A man armed with a handgun robbed the American Liquors store at 790 Old Baltimore Pike east of Newark, the Delaware State Police reported Sunday.
The robbery happened just before 9 p.m. Saturday.
The robber confronted a clerk and demanded money from the register. He turned over cash and the robber then demanded a customer in the store turn over his wallet. The customer complied and the robber then fled.
He was described as black, 30-35 years old, about 5-feet-8 and weighing 150 pounds. The man was wearing a grey sweatshirt, black pants and boots.
