LAUREL, DELAWARE (10/26/2015) A 29-year-old man was seriously injured in a rollover crash on Route 24 east of Laurel, the Delaware State Police reported Sunday.
The accident happened just before 6 p.m. Saturday on Laurel Road (Route 24) west of Adams Road.
Police said James D. Laplant, identified was driving a 1997 Ford van when the vehicle left the roadway for unknown reason.
Laplant attempted to get back on the road but over-corrected, police said, causing the van to overturn several times.
He was taken by state police helicopter to Christiana Hospital in Stanton and admitted with serious injuries.
Laurel Road was closed about an hour as police investigated and the wreckage was cleared.
