MILFORD, DELAWARE (10/17/2015) Eight people were arrested after heroin, marijuana and handgun ammunition were seized in raids at four homes in Milford, city police said Friday.
Search warrants were executed Thursday, with help from multiple agencies, at the homes in the 600 block of N. DuPont Blvd. (U.S. 113), 500 block of Truitt Ave., 400 block of North St. and 1000 block of Southeast Second St.
Police also seized drug paraphernalia and cash, Cpl. Robert W. Masten said.
Those arrested, all of Milford:
• Lamar M. Rufus, 28, was charged with possession with the intent to deliver heroin, drug dealing, possession of marijuana, conspiracy 3rd degree and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown in lieu of $21,300 bail.
• Alece A. Smith, 25, was charged with possession of marijuana, conspiracy 3rd and possession of drug paraphernalia. Smith was released on $1300 unsecured bail.
• Samir M. Baker, 22,. was charged with possession with the intent to deliver heroin, drug dealing and [possession of drug paraphernalia. Baker was being held at SCI in lieu of $10,200 secured bail.Baker also was wanted by both Kent County Family Court and Court of Common Pleas, as well as Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.
• Eric L. Bennett, 33, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released after being issued a criminal summons.
• Samantha L. Honaker, 39, was charged with criminal impersonation and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued a criminal summons for those charges but was being held at SCI on an earlier warrant on failure to report to a correctional institution.
• Julie Connelly, 25, was charged with hindering prosecution. She was released on $750 unsecured bail.
• Lakesha Bruister, 25, was wanted by Kent County Court of Common Pleas. She was committed to SCI in lieu of $800 secured bail.
• Bucky T. Sehn, 34, was wanted by Kent County Court of Common Pleas. He posted $250 secured bail and was released.
Milford police were assisted by the Delaware State Police, Kent County Probation and Parole, the Drug Enforcement Agency as well as officers from Dover, Smyrna, Delmar, Ocean View and Georgetown.
