HOCKESSIN, DELAWARE (10/14/2015) A gunman robbed the Westgate Wine and Spirits store on Tuesday night, Delaware State Police said tonight.
The robbery was reported at 8:18 p.m. at 4115 Newport Gap Pike.
The male robber, armed with a handgun, entered the front door and confronted two clerks at the front counter. The gunman demanded cash from the register and a clerk complied, turning over an undisclosed amount.
He then fled on foot toward Graves Road.
The robber was described as white, about 5-feet-11 and 170-190 pounds. His face was covered and he was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
