WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (10/4/2015) A 41-year-old man struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Wilmington late Saturday night has died of his injuries, city police said this morning.
The incident happened about 10:15 p.m. in the 500 block of Maryland Avenue.
The victim was treated at the scene for severe head trauma by New Castle County paramedics and taken to Christiana Hospital, where he died, police said.
The man’s name is being withheld by police pending notification of next-of-kin.
Police said they had no information on the striking vehicle and asked anyone with information to call Sergeant James Karschner of the Special Operation Division Traffic Unit at 302-571-4414.
