Woman, man arrested in 3 robberies

REHOBOTH BEACH, DELAWARE (10/1/2015) A woman and a man have been arrested in connection with three recent robberies in the Rehoboth Beach and Long Neck areas, Delaware State Police said this morning.

After an investigation and numerous tips to Delaware Crime Stoppers and detectives, police arrested Christine J. Brown, 23, and Kevin T. Worrell, 36, both of Rehoboth Beach.

They were charged Wednesday in connection with robberies at the Long Neck Dunkin’ Donuts, as well as the Subway restaurant and TD Bank near Rehoboth.

After a tip the pair would be in the area of the 20000 block of Fisher Road in a red Ford Escort on Tuesday, troopers arrived to find the car abandoned and the two had fled on foot.

Troopers confiscated the car and later searched it, police said, finding a pellet gun resembling a semi-automatic handgun and a pair of two-way radios.

Police said they located the pair Wednesday at the Red Mill Inn on Coastal Highway (Route 1) and they were taken into custody without incident.

Both were charged with robbery, wearing a disguise during commission of a felony and conspiracy. They were being held by the Department of Correction in lieu of $81,000 cash bond.

On Wednesday September 30, 2015, detectives gathered more information that the two were staying in a room at the Red Mill Inn on Coastal Highway, Lewes, where they were located and taken into custody without incident. They were both transported back to Troop 4 in Georgetown where they were both charged with Robbery 1st, two counts of Robbery 2nd, three counts of Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony, and three counts of Conspiracy 2nd. They were arraigned at JP2 and both remanded to the custody of the Delaware Department of Corrections in lieu of $81,000.00 cash bond.
