UPDATED STORY: Female robs TD Bank near Rehoboth Beach
REHOBOTH BEACH, DELAWARE (9/26/2015) A Subway restaurant near Rehoboth Beach was robbed at gunpoint on Friday, the Delaware State Police said, and the description of the robber is similar to that of a woman who robbed a Dunkin’ Donuts shop in the Long Neck area earlier in the day.
The crime happened shortly before 9 p.m. at 19470 Coastal Highway (Route 1), in the Shoppes of Camelot.
The robber, holding a handgun and wearing a scarf around her face, confronted a female employee behind the counter, demanding she open the register.
The clerk turned over cash and the robber fled east toward Route 1.
No one was injured.
The robber was described as white, 5-feet-4 to 5-feet-6 and 115-135 pounds. She was wearing light blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
