All lanes reopened after vehicle fire shuts Route 1 near Smyrna

UPDATED STORY: Driver charged with DUI

SMYRNA, DELAWARE (9/23/2015) A vehicle fire that jammed  Route 1 traffic in the south Smyrna area has been cleared and all lanes reopened.

DelDOT reported at 6:12 p.m. that the highway wass closed in both directions at the South Smyrna exit (Exit 114).

Citizens Hose Company of Smyrna firefighters responded.
