CLAYMONT, DELAWARE (9/12/2015) A Claymont man has been arrested in connection with three recent robberies and a Bear man is still being sought, Delaware State Police said tonight.
Jimmy J. Kelly, 36, was taken into custody Friday on a violation of probation warrant.
Police said they later learned through interviews that he was involved in the robberies of an Exxon gas station at 4101 Concord Pike in Talleyville, the Bank of America branch at 5215 Concord Pike in Brandywine Hundred and Global Express at 2803 Philadelphia Pike in Claymont.
He was charged with five counts of first-degree robbery, aggravated menacing, wearing a disguise during commission of a felony and three counts of conspiracy. He was being held at Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington in lieu of $155,500 cash bond.
Police have warrants charging Joseph Klosowski, 31, of Bear, with the same charges.
Police said Kelly was the getaway driver in the Global Express robbery just before 5 p.m. Sept. 5 as Klosowski entered the store with a handgun and demanded cash from a 35-year-old male clerk.
Klosowski was described as 6-feet-2, about 250 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Police are attempting to locate Klosowski and asked anyone with information to call 302-365-8566.
