33-year-old man injured in motorcycle crash near Newark

NEWARK, DELAWARE (8/25/2015) A 33-year-old man was injured Monday night when his motorcycle collided with a car near Newark, authorities said.

The accident happened about 8:50 p.m. in the 600 block of W. Chestnut Hill Road.

The man was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered multiple scrapes, a knee injury and possible fractured arm, said Sgt. Michael McColley of New Castle County paramedics.

The victim was treated by paramedics and taken by Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, where he was listed in stable condition on arrival, McColley said.

The crash is being investigated by Delaware State Police.
