DelDOT traffic cam shows northbound backup at Dover toll plaza at 10:20 a.m.
DOVER, DELAWARE (8/21/2015) A crash that jammed northbound Route 1 in the Dover area has been cleared but 5-10 minute delays were persisting more than two hours after the accident happened.
DelDOT initially reported at 9:23 a.m. that both lanes were closed north of the Dover toll plaza, and later that only the left lane was still closed.
A traffic cam showed a major backup remaining nearly 90 minutes later, and DelDOT was reporting northbound delays of 15-20 minutes then, with delays beginning to ease by 11:30 a.m.
Delaware State Police were on the scene of the crash.
