NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (8/18/2015) A man who collapsed in his driveway near New Castle was rescued by two mounted New Castle County police officers who were patrolling in the area, the agency said today.

Cpl. Erich Selhorst and Officer First Class Gregory Bruno heard someone screaming for help about 8:55 a.m. Monday and rushed to the 800 block of Moores Lane, where they found a 60-year-old man on the ground.

The officers immediately began CPR and continued aid until county paramedics and the Good Will Fire Company arrived, said Officer First Class Tracey Duffy, spokeswoman for county police.

The man was taken to Christiana Hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit, Duffy said.
