WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (8/16/2015) The driver of a stolen vehicle, refusing to stop for police, collided with an SUV that then hit a small car, and that car then struck the side of Delaware Technical Community College this afternoon, Wilmington police said. Several passengers in the vehicles were injured.

The incident began about 3:41 p.m. at Fifth and Tatnall streets, where police tried to stop a stolen Nissan Sentra.

The vehicle kept going and entered the intersection at Fourth and Tatnall, colliding with a Jeep Cherokee SUV. The impact caused the Jeep to hit another compact vehicle, police said. That vehicle then hit the college building.

The stolen Nissan then continued on Tatnall Street where it collided with a parked vehicle and came to a stop, police said.

A 17-year-old girl in the Nissan was taken into custody.

The injured passengers in the vehicles were taken to area hospitals.

None of the injuries are life-threatening, police said.
