18-year-old Georgetown man arrested on drug charges

OAK ORCHARD, DELAWARE (8/5/2015) An 18-year-old Georgetown man was arrested Tuesday for selling drugs from a home in Oak Orchard, Delaware State Police said this morning.

Tevon Norwood, of the 24000 block of Kruger Drive, was arrested about 3:15 p.m. after a traffic stop while he was driving his BMW in the Georgetown area.

Police said they found 152 grams of cocaine, 4 grams of crack cocaine and $3,300 in suspected drug proceeds in his vehicle.

A search at his home found 11 rounds of .380 caliber ammunition, a digital scale and $6,900 in suspected drug proceeds, police said.

Police said they also found a digital scale when they searched a home in the 27000 block of Sandy Drive in the Riverwinds Mobile Home Park in Oak Orchard where they said Norwood had sold illegal drugs.

Norwood was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown in lieu of $125,250 cash bond.

A 23-year-old woman living in the Sandy Drive home was issued a criminal summons for possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
