2 arrested on drug charges near Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, DELAWARE (7/24/2015) Delaware State Police said they arrested two men on drug charges Thursday and seized drugs and ammunition from a home east of Georgetown.

Police said their investigation found drug sales were being conducted at the home in the 25500 block of Hollis Road.

Brian W. Osborne, 40, of Georgetown, a convicted felon, was charged with possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited with prior violent crime, possession with the intent to deliver powder cocaine, possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said they found 3.5 grams of crack cocaine, 9 grams of powder cocaine, two digital scales, a magazine loaded with .45 caliber ammunition, a box of .32 caliber ammunition, a hidden holster under a recliner and over $2000 in suspected drug proceeds in the home.

Osborne was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown in lieu of $25,000 secured bond.

Lester L. Thompson, 65, of Millsboro, was arrested shortly after troopers stopped his car driving from the home and, police said, found 3.4 grams of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

He was charged with possession of crack cocaine and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and released on $1,000 unsecured bond.
