More DUI checkpoints planned after 78 arrests

DSP logoDOVER, DELAWARE (7/15/2015) Delaware State Police have another DUI checkpoint planned following the arrest of 78 drivers last week.

The latest arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs came as part of the Checkpoint Strikeforce sobriety campaign coordinated by the Delaware Office of Highway Safety.

So far this year, police have made 2,077 DUI arrests. There were 4,086 DUI arrests in 2014.

On Saturday, police will focus checkpoints in the Bear and New Castle areas.
