Liquor store burglarized near Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, DELAWARE (6/9/2015) A man broke into a liquor store east of Georgetown early Monday, Delaware State Police said today.

The crime happened about 12:50 a.m., when an alarm was set off at the business at Route 9 Liquors, 22276 Lewes-Georgetown Highway.

The burglar, about 25-30 years old, broke in and removed various bottles of liquor before fleeing, police said.

He was about 5-feet-11 and wore a light-colored sweatshirt and dark pants.
