3 shot after Dover Downs party

Dover PDDOVER, DELAWARE (6/6/2015) Three people were wounded early today in shootings at two locations after a party at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, city police said.

The first shooting happened about 1:45 a.m. in the casino parking lot, where a large fight broke out after a private “All White Clothing” party, police said.

During the fight, a 26-year-old man was shot twice in the torso.

The victim was in stable but serious condition at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital.

The second shooting, which police think may have been related to the first, happened about 2:55 a.m. at the IHOP Restaurant at 21 S. Little Creek Road.

Detectives think the people involved in a fight at the restaurant had previously been at Dover Downs for a private party.

Multiple shots were fired, striking a 33-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

The woman was treated at Kent General and released. The man is in serious but stable condition, Hoffman said.
