DOVER, DELAWARE (6/4/2015) A motorcyclist has been arrested in the stabbing of a 19-year-old man at Dover International Speedway, city police said Wednesday.

Christopher Martin, 39, of the 300 block of Barney Jenkins Road near Felton, was charged with assault, possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony and criminal mischief.

Police said the incident happened about 12:10 a.m. Saturday during a fight that began after someone in a group of people at campground Lot 10 threw a beer can at Martin as he was riding his bike.

Lt. Jason Pires said Martin became upset and confronted the group, then produced a box cutter-style knife and cut the victim on his upper arm.

He was treated at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for the severe cut and released, Pires said.

Martin was released onĀ $25,250 secured bond.

Pires asked anyone with additional information to call police at 302-736-7111.
