Man robbed at gunpoint in Dover; photos released

DOVER, DELAWARE (6/3/2015) A 59-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint as he was getting out of his car at the Woodmill Apartments, Dover police said today. Police later learned that a credit card taken in the robbery was used at a Royal Farms in Hartly and released surveillance images of a “person of interest.”

The robbery happened about 11 p.m. Tuesday near Building J at 1300 S. Farmview Drive.

An unknown male approached the man and held him at gunpoint while removing credit cards, keys and a small amount of money from the victim’s pockets, Lt. Jason Pires said.

The robber then fled in an unknown style of car.

He was described as about 5-feet-9, wearing a gray hoody, dark pants and possibly a scarf.

Pires asked anyone with information to call police at 302-736-7111.
