Man wounded in Dover drive-by shooting

DOVER, DELAWARE (5/19/2015) A 27-year-old man was wounded after multiple shots were fired in a drive-by shooting in a Dover neighborhood, city police said this morning.

The shooting happened about 9:10 p.m. Monday in the Dover East Estates mobile home development at 1061 S. Little Creek Road.

The victim told police that as he saw a vehicle driving slowly past his home and as the rear driver window was rolled down, he began to flee.

About four or five shots were fired and he was struck once in the left arm.

The man was taken by ambulance to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital and underwent surgery, Cpl. Mark Hoffman said, and is in stable condition.

Hoffman asked anyone with information call police at 302-736-7111.
