WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (5/9/2015) A traffic stop led to the arrest of two men on drug charges and one of them faces weapon charges, Wilmington police said Friday.
The vehicle stop happened about 7:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of S. Van Buren St.
Police said they found a loaded .38 caliber revolver with an obliterated serial number and 34 bags of heroin.
A passenger, Abel Flores, 22, of Wilmington, was on probation and was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of heroin and violation of probation. He was being held at Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $17,000 cash bail.
The driver, Josue Garcia, 23, of Wilmington, was charged with possession of heroin and issued a traffic summons. He was released on $1,000 unsecured bail.
