NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (5/9/2015) A masked robber fled empty-handed when an employee of a Dunkin’ Donuts store refused his demand for cash, Delaware State Police said.
The robbery attempt happened about 1:15 a.m. Friday at 4004 N. DuPont Highway (U.S. 13) near New Castle.
The robber, described as a black man about 25-30 years old, implied he was armed but never showed a weapon. Police said he was about 5-feet-10 with thin build and was wearing a grey coat, tan pants and dark shoes.
No one was injured.
