MILLSBORO, DELAWARE (5/5/2015) A lockdown of schools in the Indian River School District was lifted at 12:20 p.m. after authorities determined a telephoned threat was not credible, Delaware State Police said.

The threat to harm students at East Millsboro Elementary School came in to the main office there about 9:50 a.m. and led to a low-level lockdown of schools throughout the district, Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said.

The school is at 29346 Iron Branch Road, east of Millsboro.

Fournier said troopers will maintain an increased presence at the school for the remainder of the day.

As a precaution, he said, officials had all students throughout the district stay inside their schools.

Police are still investigating and Fournier asked anyone with information to contact Detective J. Hudson at 302-732-1500.
