ST. GEORGES, DELAWARE (4/24/2015) A 35-year-old woman has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of her husband at a luxury home near St. Georges, New Castle County police said this morning.

Temitope Adebamiro is being held without bail at Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution near New Castle.

She is charged in the death of 37-year-old Adeyinka Adebamiro in the 1300 block of Healy Court. He was found unconscious of an apparent stab wound and pronounced dead by county paramedics at 1:37 a.m. Thursday.

After interviewing residents of the home, officers determined an argument between the two escalated to a physical altercation, Officer First Class Tracey Duffy said.

The Division of Forensic Science ruled the death a homicide, Duffy said.

Adebamiro also was charged with possession of a weapon during commission of a felony.

County police today identified the development as Woodlands at St. Georges, although it was earlier given as Red Lion Chase and is listed that way in county online property records. Real estate websites identify Woodlands as a subsection of Red Lion Chase.
