NEW STORY: Suspect arrested in shooting near Newark
BROOKSIDE, DELAWARE (4/7/2015) An 18-year-old man was wounded during a home invasion at the Carrington Way Apartments, New Castle County police reported this afternoon.
The incident happened about 11:25 p.m. Monday in the first block of Kimberton Drive.
The victim was visiting a friend at an apartment when an altercation occurred between other occupants, Officer First Class Tom Jackson said.
The man was treated by county paramedics and taken by Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company ambulance to Christiana Hospital.
He was treated for the apparent gunshot wound to a lower extremity and released, Jackson said.
Police are still investigating, and Jackson asked anyone with information to call 302-573-2800.
