3 charged in illegal drug sales near Polytech

WOODSIDE EAST, DELAWARE (4/4/2015) Three people were arrested after illegal drugs were found to be sold from a home in the Meadowbrook Acres community, state police said Friday.

The arrests came about 6 a.m. Thursday as three teams of troopers raided a home in the first block of Terry Drive, near Polytech High School east of Woodside, and another home nearby in the 100 block of S. Draper Circle.

William L. Bessicks, 29, and Yaschi R. Seney, 28, were both taken into custody without incident at the Terry Drive home.

Police said they found 11.5 grams of crack cocaine, 3 grams of powder cocaine, 5 grams of marijuana and more than $1,500 in suspected drug proceeds, as well as a loaded .22 caliber handgun.

Five children between ages 3 and 11 were in the house at the time and were turned over to a relative.

At the South Draper Circle address, Sheri L. Paitsel, 56, was taken into custody without incident.

A search of that home, police said, found 0.1 gram of crack cocaine, a switchblade knife and drug paraphernalia.

Undercover detectives had been investigating Paitsel since mid-January, police said, when she sold prescription pills and crack cocaine to detectives on five different occasions from her home.

Bessicks was charged with possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited who also possesses a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 2 quantity (crack cocaine), two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, conspiracy, possession of drug paraphernalia,and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was being held at Vaughn Correctional Center in lieu of $88,200 cash bond.

Seney was charged with possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited who also possesses a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 2 quantity (crack cocaine), possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, conspiracy, possession of drug paraphernalia and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She was being held at Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in lieu of $51,200 cash bond.

Paitsel was charged with four counts of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (oxycodone), possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance (0.1 gram crack cocaine), possession of a controlled substance (Suboxone strips), and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was being held at Baylor in lieu of $57,200 cash bond.
