OCEAN VIEW, DELAWARE (2/28/2015) A masked robber fled empty-handed when the clerk at a supermarket north of Ocean View refused to hand over money he demanded from the register, state police said today.
The incident happened about 8;20 p.m. Thursday at Hocker’s G&E Supermarket, 30244 Cedar Neck Road.
The male robber implied he had a gun but fled out the front door when the clerk, a 49-year-old woman, alerted another employee.
The robber was described as white and about 6-feet-1 to 6-feet-4. He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a grey mask.
