13-year-old boy shot in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (2/23/2015) A 13-year-old boy was shot Sunday night in the Southbridge part of the city, police said.

The incident happened about 7:15 p.m. at South Heald and Lobdell streets.

The boy was found in the street with a gunshot wound to each leg.

He was treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics and taken by ambulance to Nemours/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children.

Police said he was in stable condition.
