2 men arrested in theft of boats near Milford

DOVER, DELAWARE (2/17/2015) Two men have been arrested in connection with the theft of two boats near Milford earlier this month, authorities announced.

Kevin M. Schilling, 44, of Smyrna, and James P. McCann, 40, of Dover, were arrested Friday by Division of Fish & Wildlife enforcement officers. They were charged with one count each of felony theft, trespassing and conspiracy. Both were being held at Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown in lieu of $1,100 cash bond each.

Two 12-foot aluminum duck boats were stolen Feb. 3 from private property off New Wharf Road.

The theft was captured on surveillance video, authorities said.

The stolen boats are still missing. One displays Maryland registration MD 9868 AV; the other was described as a green aluminum duck boat.
