WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (2/7/2015) A dog fell through ice at Cool Spring Reservoir today and had to be rescued, according to reports from the scene.
The rescue happened about 9 a.m. at 10th and Franklin streets.
The owner was apparently walking the dog when it ran onto the ice and the owner couldn’t reach it.
Firefighters responded with a rescue raft but the dog kept swimming away.
Finally a firefighter jumped in to save the dog.
