3 more shot in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (1/25/2013) A violent weekend of shootings continued today in Wilmington, with three more people wounded.

The latest gunfire happened just before 1:30 p.m. in the 200 block of N. Broom St. — the same area where a 16-year-old boy was fatally wounded Friday night and two others teens were wounded.

An 18-year-old man died after being shot in the head Saturday night at 21st and Washington streets, becoming the city’s fifth homicide of 2015.

Today’s victims, all male, were  treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics and taken by ambulances to Christiana and Wilmington hospitals, police said.

One victim, who was 18 years old,  was shot in a lower extremity and a 15 year old was wounded in the arm. The third victim was shot in the back; his age wasn’t known.

Police said all three are in stable condition.
