DOVER, DELAWARE (1/18/2015) It started as a simple promotional gimmick for Dover’s police force — an effort to provide a few lighter moments as Master Cpl. Jeff Davis sang along in his patrol car to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off.”
But after widespread local and national media coverage, the YouTube video launched Friday has taken on a life of its own — surpassing 12 million viewers just after 8:30 tonight.
Even Taylor Swift jumped in, tweeting, “LOLOLOLOL THE SASS.”
