20-year-old man charged in Arbor Place homicide

NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (1/11/2015) A 20-year-old Wilmington man has been charged with first-degree murder after the death of a man shot Friday night at the Arbor Place Townhouses near New Castle.

Kyrell Lewis, 23, of the 200 block of Parma Avenue in Arbor Place, was shot about 6:50 p.m. and died at Christiana Hospital at 11:45 p.m. Friday, Officer Tracey Duffy of New Castle County police reported late Saturday.

Lewis was shot multiple times after an argument, Duffy said.

Maurice Cruz-Webster, of the 2500 block of N. Jefferson St. in Wilmington, was developed as a suspect, Duffy said, and surrendered to officers at the Sweeney Public Safety Building about 7 p.m. Saturday.

He also was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and reckless endangering.
