HARRINGTON, DELAWARE (1/9/2015) A burglary suspect’s mother was arrested on drug charges when officers went to her home in an attempt to locate stolen property, Harrington police said today.
Laurie McClanen, 53, of the first block of North St., was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with an aggravating factor and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, Lt. Earl Brode said.
He said officers executing a search warrant found .135 grams of heroin, 22 opium pills and drug paraphernalia.
Her son, Timothy Brown, was charged Wednesday with burglarizing an apartment where he once lived.
McClanen was released on $1,900 unsecured bond, Brode said.
