WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (1/6/2015) A 57-year-old man was struck by a car at South Broom and Chestnut streets Monday evening, authorities said.
The incident happened just after 7 p.m., said Sg.t Michael McColley of New Castle County paramedics.
The man was treated on the scene by paramedics for head and back injuries. He then was taken by St. Francis ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton.
McColley said the man was in stable condition.
Wilmington police are investigating the accident but have released no details.
