ELSMERE, DELAWARE (1/1/2015) A young man with a handgun and wearing a black mask robbed a liquor store late Sunday just south of the Elsmere town line, state police said today.
The robbery happened about 10 p.m. at Charles Liquors, 807 N. DuPont Road.
The 22-year-old male employee complied with the robber’s demand and turned over cash from the register. The robber then fled east.
The clerk was not hurt.
The robber was described as 17-20 years old, 5-feet-11 and with a large build. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black sweat pants and wore a black mask over his face.
