CHRISTIANA, DELAWARE (12/20/2014) A 52-year-old woman was struck by a car and in critical condition this evening, authorities said.
The accident happened as she was walking about 9:30 p.m. at Christiana Bypass (Route 273) and Old Baltimore Pike.
Paramedics treated the victim for a severe leg injury and she was taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, said Sgt. Michael A. McColley of New Castle County Emergency Medical Services.
State police are investigating the accident.
