4 hurt in New Castle rollover crash

NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (12/20/2014) Four people were injured early today when a car ran into a utility pole guy wire on Frenchtown Road (Route 273), causing the car to roll over on its roof, authorities said.

The accident happened about 3:30 a.m. at the intersection with Quigley Boulevard/Traders Lane.

The four occupants of the car were able to get out before emergency responders arrived, said Sgt. Michael McColley of New Castle County paramedics.

He said they were treated on the scene and taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital. All were in stable condition.

A 25-year-old woman had shoulder and neck injuries, a 25-year-old man had facial cuts, a 39-year-old man had a back injury and a 58-year-old man had a chest injury.

New Castle City police were on the scene investigating.
