DOVER, DELAWARE (12/16/2014) A man with a knife robbed a Valero/Shore Stop convenience store in west Dover on Tuesday night, city police reported today.

The crime happened about 7:45 p.m. on Forrest Avenue (Route 8).

A large man wearing a blue ski mask, dark hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, torn blue jeans and black boots entered the store and demanded money from the employee be put in two plastic grocery bags he brought into the store.

The robber fled east from the store with the money and two packs of cigarettes, police said.

The robber dropped some evergreen tree needles and a small branch inside the store, police said, indicating he may have traveled through wooded residential lots just east and south of the business.
