Stop-N-Shop robbery may be linked to one at Valero in Dover

DOVER, DELAWARE (12/8/2014) A convenience store robbery over the weekend may be linked to another robbery in Dover last week, city police say.

The latest crime happened about 8 p.m. Saturday at the Stop-N-Shop in the 1100 block of White Oak Road.

A man with a knife confronted the clerk and demanded money. He fled with cash after the clerk complied.

The bandit was described as a heavyset male, 6 feet tall, wearing a black Under Armout jacket, black pants, black shoes, black gloves and with a white crocery bag over his head to mask his identity.

Police are investigating for a link to a similar robbery at a Valero gas station Wednesday on U.S. 13, Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.
