Dover clerk cut in 3rd store robbery in week

DOVER, DELAWARE (12/10/2014) A clerk was cut with a bandit’s knife during the third convenience store robbery in a week in Dover, city police said Tuesday.

The latest robbery happened about 7 p.m. Monday at the Stop-N-Shop at 780 Walker Road.

A tall, heavyset man with a white plastic bag covering his face and a knife in his hand entered the store and demanded cash from the female clerk.

She complied, but in the process came in contact with the robber’s knife and received a small cut, police said.

The robber was wearing black shoes, blue jeans and gray gloves.

A Valero gas station store at 530 N. DuPont Highway (U.S. 13) was robbed on Dec. 3, and a Stop-N-Shop store in the 1100 block of White Oak Road was robbed on Saturday.
